Our Commitment to Web Accessibility

The Web Creators Toolbox is committed to making this website inclusive and usable for as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technologies. Accessibility is an ongoing responsibility, not a one-off certification.

Our accessibility target

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as the target for our public website and member community. This statement does not claim that every part of the website currently conforms to that standard. Some barriers may remain, and we would rather tell you that plainly than overstate our position.

What we are doing

We are building accessibility into our design, development and content processes. Our measures include:

  • using semantic page structure, meaningful headings and accessible names;
  • supporting keyboard navigation and visible keyboard focus;
  • checking colour contrast, text resizing and responsive layouts;
  • reviewing alternative text and the accessibility of images and media; and
  • using automated accessibility checks alongside manual keyboard and assistive-technology testing.

Automated tools cannot detect every accessibility barrier or cover every type of content, so a successful automated scan is not treated as proof of accessibility.

Known limitations and ongoing work

Some migrated articles, images, event recordings and interfaces produced by third-party services or WordPress plugins are still being reviewed. Some recorded media may not yet have complete captions or transcripts. We will prioritise issues that prevent people from accessing information, registering for events or participating in the community.

We cannot guarantee the accessibility of third-party websites or services that we link to, but we welcome reports about barriers encountered while following a journey that begins on our website.

Feedback and support

If you have difficulty using this website or need information in a different format, please contact us. If possible, tell us which page or feature you were using and what went wrong. Information about your browser or assistive technology is helpful but optional. We will review your feedback and work towards a reasonable solution.

Preparation and review

This statement was prepared on 27 July 2026 and last reviewed on 28 July 2026, when the rebuilt website was launched. We will review it again after substantial changes to the website or its services.
